Beginning of another short story:

The brain screamed out, "I need rest!" but the long needed rest was not given as the desperate owner scourged the channels of her mind to excavate the causes, the processes, and the solutions,  to her ailing body.  The brain needed rest and craved for oxygen and blood but  he was repeatedly denied.  "Well then, I must to extreme action," he told her by zapping the signals of weariness through the conduits of her nerve endings.  The jerking head and the palpitating heart, and my oh my, the pins-and-needle shingles in the edges of her toes and fingers  did her in.  She listened to her brain and took heed.  The brain answered, "Good, now I can rest and so can you."  She listened again and the brain loved her back for listening.  They went hand in hand in cozy bed to make love and regain in vitality.
